In Loving Memory of Grandma J

Aging is a process without a tutor. This was a lesson learned firsthand by the Founder. After braving the trails and tribulations of the near endless care options for her grandparents; one needing a Care Facility for acute Alzheimer’s and the other in need of 24 hour a day in-home care due to terminal cancer; she quickly came to realize just how daunting the task is for families with a senior in need of a helping hand. The process of finding appropriate placement and services was profoundly difficult, confusing, and at times frightening for her Grandmother's’ and entire family.

After the devastating loss from their passing she returned again to San Francisco; filled with a desire to find the solution to the problems encountered with finding senior care.

Seeking more hands-on experience to further the task at finding a solution to the senior care dilemma, she joined a local Geriatric company as a Senior Housing and Care Specialist. The opportunity to be on the ground, working with families, hospitals, and other geriatric professionals provided a greater grasp on the process of helping families in the real world, instead of in a hypothetical context.

Taking the next step, she founded her own Geriatric Housing Placement Agency, learning further lessons with each passing day.

This time of discovery forged her initial ideas as to how best to help families facing the problem she once faced.

After thirteen years embedded into the geriatric housing and care industry in Northern California, the team at the American Alliance is ready to help you and your loved ones find the best housing solution!
